A digital painting inspired by pictures of the Red Rectangle Nebula. The Red Rectangle Nebula (also known as HD 44179) is a is a proto-planetary nebula located roughly 2300 light years from Earth. It shines with reflected light as its central star is not hot enough to ionize the gas being shed.
